“ Grandma, The grand high witch lives in room 454, which I think is right below us,” I told her. Together we came up with a plan. Grandma was going to put me in a sock and lower me down. Then, she put me in the sock and lowered me down to the floor below. I’m really glad the door to the Grand High Witch’s room was open. Now I can sneak in and grab the serum. Then, I see something and think, “wait is that a frog?” I figured out the frogs are probably kids that have been transformed. I need to get the serum and get out of here because that witch is probably coming back. Then. I notice the mattress was bumpy, and I got to the bed to check it out. I discover their is multiple bottles of the serum inside the mattress. Being a mouse with sharp teeth, I chew a hole and squeeze into the mattress. I grab the bottle and start to go back towards the sock. BUT then, THE WITCH WALKS IN THE ROOM! I hear a knock on the door. it's the ancient ones and they are here in the room right now to get delayed action mouse maker.I need to get out, so i'm gonna run out the door. “ let's go” zzzzz ooooo ooooo mmmmm! I'm out, yes! “knock knock”knock knock, Let me in please,” I squeak at Grandma’s door. I sigh with relief, phew. I Got it.

The class had a furry time learning about fur trapping, trading, and mountain men. They got to explore tools, touch furs, and wear mountain man gear!!
The third and fourth grade class had the chance to dissect fish. They learned the parts of the fish and where to find them. For example the heart is behind the gills. We are thankful that Leonard showed us how to cut into the fish and taught us what special parts are on a fish. We learned that fish don't have ears they hear with a line down their body. Some kids thought fish dissection was gross, and some loved it. The third and fourth graders had lots of fun dissecting fish.
The third and fourth graders had a thrilling time zooming through their learning these past two weeks. The students learned the science of roller coasters, completed a research project, built their own coasters, played at the carnival, and much much more!! All week we got to ride exciting and terrifying roller coasters. The first big drop always makes us scream. Also, we researched and learned about 8 roller coasters. We built a google tour with google maps to show where the coasters were located. In math class we did math problems to earn tickets to spend at the carnival at the end of the week. The carnival was so much fun. We played games like bean bag toss, punch out, duck pond, and ring toss. We even got to eat delicious cotton candy and pop corn. Another exciting activity was building our own roller coasters using marbles. We learned about energy and how coasters worked. For example, the first hill gives the coaster stored energy and has to be the tallest. We had to be thoughtful and work step by step. The coasters we built had inversions, hills, and cool obstacles. One other thing we don't want to leave out is the feats of strength. All of us tried our hardest to test our skills and earn strong man awards. We competed in arm wrestling, thumb war, wall sits, push ups, tree pose, and sit ups. All the students had a blast learning, building, and playing games!!
Yesterday, the third and fourth graders were hooked into learning about fishing. One thing we learned was how to tie knots. We tied two knots, the bunny ear knot and the fishermen's knot. Next we used those knots to make a lure. The guest fishermen taught us step by step. Another fun activity was painting jigs. The students chose from pink, orange, green, or yellow. Also some of the students worked on coloring Native Montana fish and turning them into head bands. We can't wait to use our gear we made while ice fishing in January!!
