Yesterday, the third and fourth graders were hooked into learning about fishing. One thing we learned was how to tie knots. We tied two knots, the bunny ear knot and the fishermen's knot. Next we used those knots to make a lure. The guest fishermen taught us step by step. Another fun activity was painting jigs. The students chose from pink, orange, green, or yellow. Also some of the students worked on coloring Native Montana fish and turning them into head bands. We can't wait to use our gear we made while ice fishing in January!!
